TRAFFORD, Pa. (May 5)- Nine Saint Vincent men's lacrosse players were named to the Presidents Athletic Conference All-Conference team's announced by the conference during their selection show earlier this evening.
Sophomore midfielder
Calvin Rose was the lone Bearcat to be named to the All-PAC First Team. Senior attackman
Jonathan Nagy, along with juniors
Zander Vetter and
Cam Herring, and sophomore midfielder
Reed Hunt were all named All-PAC Second Team. Senior goalie
Garrett Ritts, along with junior
Tyler Harpst, and sophomores
Connor Smith and
Mason Krabbe all earned All-PAC Honorable Mention honors.
Rose totaled 43 points (35 goals, 8 assists) over the course of his sophomore campaign. Rose also went 65-132 (.492) in faceoffs, while scooping up 62 ground balls and caused nine turnovers for Saint Vincent en route to their PAC playoff appearance.
Nagy led the Bearcats with 59 total points and 40 goals. The senior attackman also recorded 19 assists, scooped up 28 ground balls, and scored three game winning goals over the course of the season for the Bearcats.
Vetter led the Saint Vincent defense during his junior campaign. The junior led Saint Vincent with 23 caused turnovers, while he also scooped up 48 ground balls and dished out an assist over the course of the season as well.
Herring was right behind Vetter with 21 caused turnovers during the season. Herring also scooped up 23 ground balls, scored two goals, and dished out three assists during the year for the Bearcats.
Hunt totaled 34 points (20 goals, 14 assists) for Saint Vincent during his sophomore season. He also scooped up 12 ground balls, caused five turnovers, and scored two game winning goals for the Bearcats during the year as well.
Ritts started 13 games in goal for the Bearcats during the season. He recorded an impressive .518 save percentage and 116 saves over the course of the year. He went 7-5 in net, facing over 400 shots in route to his Honorable Mention honors.
Harpst caused 16 turnovers for the Bearcats, while scooping up 22 ground balls and dished out an assist during the season.
Smith totaled 47 points during his sophomore season for the Bearcats. He scored 30 goals and dished out 17 assists, while scooping up 17 ground balls, causing three turnovers, and scored one game winning goal for the Bearcats as well.
Krabbe was the Bearcats top faceoff specialist during the year. He went an impressive 127-211 (.602), while scoring five goals and dishing out two assists. Krabbe also scooped up a team-high 100 ground balls, while also causing 13 turnovers as well.
Additionally, senior
Max Radcliffe was named to the PAC Sportsmanship team.
