Visiting Limestone College defeated the Lady Bearcats 2-0 on the Saint Vincent Turf.

The Saint Vincent defense was under constant pressure, as Limestone posted 43 shots for the game, while the Lady Bearcats managed just three.

Limestone scored its first goal 10:18 into the first half, with Sara Parker blasting home a one-timer from the top of the circle off of a penalty corner from Kathleen Troutner.

Despite the sizeable shot advantage, the Saints were unable to add an insurance goal until late in the second half, with Troutner and Parker hooking up for a second time, again off a penalty corner, with 6:30 left in regulation.

In the closing minutes, the Lady Bearcats tried for one last rally, with Sam Larkin getting stopped twice on the doorstep in the 66th minute, but were unable to find the net.

Megan Vargo started and played all 70 minutes in goal and was strong, finishing with 14 saves in the losing effort.  Limestone's  Lindsey Hinton earned the shutout, making three saves.

The Lady Bearcats (2-9) will be back in action on Monday night, traveling to Washington & Jefferson College for a 7pm game.  The game was rescheduled from Sept. 22nd, when severe thunderstorms forced a cancellation.
