The Saint Vincent field hockey team was defeated 3-0 by Hood College in Frederick, MD.

Colleen McCarrick had two goals and an assists for the Blazers, while Nicole Kilmer had a goal and an assist.  Hood scored twice in the game's first 25 minutes, and then put the match away with an insurance goal with 11 minutes left in the second half.

For the game, Hood out-shot Saint Vincent 11-3, with SVC goalie Megan Vargo making five saves in the losing effort.

The Lady Bearcats face a quick turnaround, as they will continue their swing through Maryland with a Sunday afternoon game at the College of Notre Dame.
