The Saint Vincent field hockey team could not overcome a strong first half showing by visiting Wilson College, falling by a score of 3-1.

A goal by Wilson's Maggie Sipps near the 15 minute mark gave the visitors a 1-0 lead, and they added to their advantage with first half goals from Hilary Swartz and Megan Schneck.  Wilson took a 3-0 lead into the break, dominating the statistics by outshooting SVC 8-0 and tallying 9 corners while yielding none.

In the second half, SVC rebounded, eventually getting on the board with just over 11 minutes remaining when Kiana Wilson scored an unassisted goal.

SVC posted 5 corners in the second half to go along with 5 shots, but were unable to overcome the slow start.

With the loss, Saint Vincent drops to 1-6 on the season.  The team will be back in action on Saturday, traveling to Maryland to take on the University of Notre Dame of Maryland.  Game time is 4PM.
