GREENSBORO, N.C. (July 27) - The Saint Vincent College baseball team has been named a recipient of the 2022 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack.

The ABCA Team Academic Excellence award recognizes programs coached by ABCA members that posted a 3.0 team grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the 2021-22 academic year. The award is open to teams in all three NCAA divisions, as well as the NAIA and junior college.

Coached by Mick Janosko, Saint Vincent is one of five Presidents' Athletic Conference teams to earn the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award for 2022.

Along with the ABCA honor, 14 members of the SVC baseball team were also named to the 2022 PAC Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes who maintain a grade point average of 3.60 or higher during their season of competition. 

The Bearcats finished 24-14 overall and 20-6 in the PAC in 2022, advancing to the conference semifinals.
