NEW CONCORD, Ohio (Jan. 17)- The Saint Vincent women's indoor track and field team placed seventh in the 15-team field at the Muskie Meet #1 to kick off their spring semester of competition.
 
Grace Neubert highlighted the day for the Bearcats in the two events she participated in. In the 1,000-meter run, Neubert raced a Saint Vincent program record time of 3:06.74 to win the event. She breaks Sydney Green's record, which was set in 2019 (3:09.01).
 
Neubert followed that up with a second-place finish in the 3000-meter run. The sophomore raced a time of 10:10.87, which is the third best time in the event in program history. Neubert also holds the top two times in program history in this event.

The Bearcats 4x200 relay team set the program record in the event as well. The team of Caroline Kozera, Madelyn Hopsicker, Amanda Kane, and Gabrielle Dove raced to a program record time of 1:53.68.
 
Dove put together a pair of solid individual results for the Bearcats as well. Dove raced to a 17^th place result in the 60-meter dash, racing a time of 8.32 seconds. She followed that up with a 16^th place finish in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 28.19 seconds.
 
Lily Murphy and Brecia Bentley both added a pair of top five finishes for the Bearcats as well. Bentley placed 5^th in the 400-meter dash, racing a time of 1:07.30, while Murphy placed fifth in the 1-mile run, finishing in a time of 5:29.17.
 
Lauren Schemmel also finished second in the 5000-meter run for SVC, racing a time of 19:53.45.
 
Saint Vincent will return to action on Saturday, January 24, competing in the Muskie Meet #2 in New Concord. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
