NEW CONCORD, Ohio (Jan. 24)- The Saint Vincent women's indoor track and field team placed third in the 11-team field at the Muskie Meet #2 on Saturday in Ohio.
The Bearcats set a couple of school records, while also recording multiple top-five finishes as well.
Grace Neubert continued her impressive career, setting the Saint Vincent program record in the 1-mile run. Neubert raced a record time of 5:04, finishing in first place in the event. Her event also was a regional qualifier and the 15th best time in all of NCAA Division-III this season.
The Bearcats 4x200 relay team also set a school record as well. The team of
Gabrielle Dove,
Madelyn Hopsicker,
Amanda Kane, and
Caroline Kozera raced to a program record time of 1:51.21, finishing second in the event. The time is also a regional qualifying time as well.
Dove also finished third (8.24) in the 60-meter dash and second (28.52) in the 200-meter dash. Kozera also qualified for the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, racing to a time of 10.72 and a fifth place result.
Jane Huss recorded one of the top finishes of her young career, finishing second in the 800-meter dash, racing to a finishing time of 2:30.13.
Saint Vincent will return to action on Friday, January 30, competing in the two-day Youngstown State Mid-Major.
