TRAFFORD, Pa. (May 13)- Two Saint Vincent baseball student-athletes earned All-Conference honors, announced by the Presidents Athletic Conference during their selection show on the PAC Sports Network this evening.
Sophomore outfielder
Isiah Petty earned Second Team All-PAC honors, while junior pitcher
Nolan Hurd earned Honorable Mention All-PAC honors for the Bearcats.
Petty led the Bearcats with a .430 batting average and 52 hits over the course of the season. The sophomore outfielder also drove in 15 runs, hit eight doubles, three triples, and totaled an OPS of 1.023. Petty was also an impressive 11-12 on stolen base attempts, while recording at least one hit in 29 different games, including two or more hits in 17 different games. His season was highlighted by a 4-4 performance in game two of the Bearcats home doubleheader sweep against Thiel on April 17.
Hurd was one of the Bearcats top arms during his junior season. The junior pitcher led the Bearcats in ERA (4.74), innings pitched (49.1), and wins (3) over the course of the season. He tossed one complete game, while also striking out 17 batters and compiling a 1.68 WHIP. Hurd tossed a complete game in the Bearcats season opening win against Dubuque in Florida on March 1. He also pitched 7.1 innings, allowing just one run on eight hits in the Bearcats win against Waynesburg on April 11.
