The La Roche College Redhawks spoiled Senior Day at Bearcat Ballfield, defeating Saint Vincent by a score of 4-2.

Jeff Bugajski started on the mound for SVC and pitched well, giving up six hits in seven innings, walking one and striking out three, but received little help from the offense.  The Bearcats managed just two hits through the first six innings.

La Roche scored three runs in the top of the third and added one in the seventh, before the Bearcats followed with a pair of runs in the bottom of inning seven.

With one out, Mike Hustava singled to left, and AJ Kavinsky then drew a pinch-hit walk with two outs.  Joey Fearer then singled home Hustava, and Kavinsky scored on a double steal, but it was the only scoring for the Bearcats on the day.

Seniors Darren Smith and Vince Yandura each pitched one inning of shutout relief for Saint Vincent (15-21) in the non-conference tilt.

With the win the Redhawks improve to 24-8. 

Saint Vincent will be back in action on Thursday, hosting Westminster College in a single, 9-inning game at Bearcat Ballfield at 4PM.
