RESULTS - BUCKNELLRESULTS - WESTMINSTERThe Saint Vincent track team sent runners to both sides of the state, competing in the Bucknell Bison Open and the Westminster College Invitational.
At Bucknell,
Brandan Moretton started the day by finishing in second in his division and 43rd overall out of 107 runners in the 1500 meters. Â The large field included runners from all three NCAA Divisions.
In the 5000 meters,
Sawyer Palonder finished fifth in his grouping, timed in 15:19.35. Â His effort was good for 50th out of a field of 124. Â The times for both Moretton and Palonder were the fastest among Presidents' Athletic Conference runners in 2015. Â
At Westminster, the Bearcats got a 10th place finish from
Adam Molinaro in the 1500, with a time of 4:17.01. Â
Alex Krieger was the team's top finisher in the 5000, taking 16th place (16:26.30). Â
Brandon Holmes was second in the 10,000, in 33:18.27, while
Jimmy Farnan was third in the 3000 Steeplechase, in 10:12.09. Â
Eric Porter finished two spots behind Farnan, in 10:26.96. Â
Ron Monack was 10th in 10:46.74.
Farnan's steeplechase effort was the fastest in the PAC this season. Â
On day two of the Bison Open,
Vince Tonzo finished a solid 11th out of 114 competitors from all divisions in the 800, with a time of 1:53.69. Â His time was the fastest among Presidents' Athletic Conference runners this season. Â
In the 4x800 relay, SVC's
Ryan Detsch,
Laurence Jaross, Moretton and Tonzo finished a strong 6th among 12 teams, timed in 7:51.99.
