The Saint Vincent swim teams continued to produce stellar swims on the second day of the Franklin & Marshall Invitational meet.
The men opened the finals with a seventh-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay. The quartet of
Andrew Rectenwald,
John Martin,
Zach Baum, and
Danny Whirlow finished at 1:35.65.
In the 400 IM,
Kevin Martin took seventh place with a 4:16.45. J. Martin finished ninth place in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 59.25.
In the morning prelims, Baum swam the 100 Backstroke exhibition, breaking the SVC record with a 50.26. Later in finals, Baum not only notched another Bearcat record in the 100 Butterfly, but he won the entire event, hitting the wall to claim first place with a 48.69.
On the women's side, the lineup of
Lauren Connors,
Claire Kenna,
Katie Kozy, and
Erica Steele placed fourth in the 200 Medley Relay, clocking in at 1:49.55.
Kozy finished the 100 Butterfly in eleventh place. Her time was a 59.64.
Sara Basala also placed eleventh overall in the 100 Breaststroke with a 1:10.58.
The final day of the Franklin & Marshall Invitational will begin with tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 24th. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. while finals start at 6 p.m.
