TRAFFORD, Pa. (Apr. 6)- Saint Vincent junior pitcher Andrew Bell was named the Presidents Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week in baseball.

Bell picked up the win for the Bearcats in game two of their doubleheader split against Franciscan. The junior tossed seven shutout innings and allowed just five hits with six strikeouts and two walks in a 6-1 victory.

He struck out a pair in the second inning and ended his outing with a punch out to strand the bases loaded in the seventh inning and keep Franciscan off the board.

Bell and the Bearcats return to action on Wednesday, April 8, as they host Chatham in an important PAC doubleheader at Bearcat Ballfield. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 1 p.m.
